Finally….

July 5, 2006

I guess you are probably half expecting a half-arsed excuse from me about how busy I have been and the such but I really do have an excuse for not updating…ready?

OK, well whilst trying to help my brother with something I logged out and then completely forgot my password :/

I tried to re-set it (about 20 times!) and WordPress.com refused to send it. Anyhow, worked first time tonite so now you get to read my boring post :D

Well, obviously I have to comment on England exiting the World Cup along with 500 of my not so hard-earned credits. I had to work thru the game, but managed to get a big screen TV pointed in my direction for almost the entire duration of the match. I couldn’t see it  too well and towards the end had to serve the  only man in England who wasn’t interested in the World Cup, so I can’t really comment on foul play and the like. for that you will have to go to Snoogins Blog.

But….I am English so I am fairly used to the feeling of losing. And would not want  to enrage Paul with accusations in Portugals direction :D

Apart from that I have been working and working and giving into bizarre family guilt trips and visiting relatives I haven’t seen in a year almost. It’s kinda weird to be in a pub with your Nan discussing my next overseas jaunt, she seems to be the only one who thinks I am not insane when I say these things….that could be very telling!

Well, typical British weather for summer, thunder storms and pelting rain or muggy heat. Lovely. still glad to be back though. I will even happier when my first pay cheque clears. My first money in a long time, mostly owed to benefactors but at least its mine to owe.

Oh and to all the BlogMad Shoutbox people: I miss you all, no one seems to be around when I am free these days :(

Now aren’t you glad I managed to log back in for that ground breaking news flash from my life?  yeah you are really, I can tell. Leave me comments, kthnx :)

I Am Back

June 26, 2006

This is, what I would hope, is my long awaited return to the blogging world. And I am indeed ‘starting over’. In more ways than one.

I have thankfully returned to my home land of England after what I will kindly say was an ‘Interesting’ 10 months in Germany. You who know me already know I was not happy there, knowing hardly anybody and having little more than a basic grasp on the language. And you know you can only put up with being unhappy for so long and I cannot understand how people can spend their whole lives being less than completely satisfied with their lot in life.

I am a dreamer, I admit that readily, and I will chase the dream probably forever. I have started over so many times in my life and it has nearly always been the harder of two choices set before me, but always the more rewarding.

So everything has changed. And I mean everything.

I moved back to the UK little under 3 weeks ago with only a backpack full of clothes and a few personal items. I had almost no money, I had no job to go to and but for the grace of my brother I would have also had no where to live.

I have now managed to find a job that seems good, but as always time will only tell, I have a little borrowed money to my name and i have a time share arrangement with a 6yr old for a bedroom. But life is good, in fact a great deal better than it has been in years. I guess it all depends what makes you happy and contented.

I would like to thank my big brother for his support, his house, food and not to mention loans but most especially for his support.

Theres someone else I want to thank, who shall at the moment remain nameless. They know who they are and they know how much their support means to me. Their constant encouragement and care and chats kept me going long before I moved back to the UK and continue to keep me going now. Thankyou for all this and more and for encouraging me constantly to set up a blog and to actually write something on it. Hugs and thanks to you :)

I will try to update this, I really will.
